Before you buy

Warranty, service and exchange

Most disappointment in this trade comes from a boundary nobody stated out loud. So here is ours, in public, before you spend anything.

What we do

  • Sell you the fitting, the appliance or the hardware, by the piece or by the project
  • Tell you the exact specification: load rating, cabinet dimensions, door weight, cutout size
  • Register the manufacturer warranty and hand you the paperwork that proves the purchase date
  • Route a warranty claim to the brand service network and follow it up with them
  • Replace anything supplied wrong against your order, on our own account

What we do not do

  • Design your kitchen, wardrobe or interior
  • Build cabinets or carcasses, or supply the plywood, MDF or timber they are made from
  • Install anything, including chimneys, hobs, locks and drawer systems
  • Take responsibility for the quality of furniture built by a third party using parts bought here
  • Offer 3D design services, despite what our previous website said

A correction to our old website

Our previous site said we offered design consultation, installation, complete after-sales support and complimentary 3D design consultations. We do not, and we should not have said so. Some customers reasonably bought expecting a contractor's obligations and got a counter's, and at least two of them said so publicly. That was our fault for how we described ourselves, and this page exists so it stops happening.

The criticism we have had

These are real public reviews of this business. We could have built a page of five-star quotes instead, and every competitor's site in this city already has one.

Bought interior items including all kinds of hinges from this shop for about Rs 1,50,000 and in that they sold us 2 sets of wrong hinges telling we can use for folding door for corner shelf and when we asked for exchange with the purchase…

Quality of woods and others stuff is bad ..after 2-3 years all furniture were badly damaged ..build look is good but there is manipulation of woods .. for this quality the prices is too high.

What we changed because of them

  • The website no longer claims design, installation or turnkey services. That claim was the root of both complaints.
  • Every product page now carries the dimensions the item needs, so a fitting that will not suit your cabinet is caught before the sale rather than at the exchange counter.
  • The exchange position is written down above instead of being decided in the moment.

The questions this raises

The furniture in my kitchen has gone bad after a few years. Is that your warranty?

Almost certainly not, and this is the single most common misunderstanding at this counter. We sell hinges, runners, pull-outs and appliances. The carcass, the shutters, the plywood and the workmanship come from whoever built and fitted your kitchen, and their durability is between you and them. If a specific Hettich or Ozone fitting has failed within its warranty, bring it in with the bill and we will take that up with the brand.

Can I exchange something I bought if it turns out to be wrong for my cabinet?

If we supplied something different from what your bill says, that is our error and we replace it. If the item is correct against the order but does not suit your cabinet, an exchange depends on the item being unused, in its original packaging with the model markings intact, and on the brand accepting it back. Fittings are sold by dimension, which is why we ask for cabinet measurements before you buy rather than after.

How long is the warranty on Hettich, Faber, Ozone and the other brands?

The manufacturer sets it, not us, and it varies by product line. Ask at the counter for the specific model and we will show you the printed terms rather than quote a figure from memory. Keep your bill; a warranty claim without a proof of purchase date is very hard to run.

Do you send someone to fit what I buy?

No. We are a dealer. Your carpenter, electrician or interior contractor installs it, and for appliances the brand service network handles installation where the brand includes it. We give whoever does the work the exact dimensions and templates so it goes right the first time.

Something I bought has failed. What should I do first?

Call the counter you bought it from with the bill in front of you. Tell us the item, the date, and what it is doing. If it is a warranty matter we open it with the brand; if it is a fitting or usage matter we will tell you that plainly rather than send you round the service network for weeks.

Something has gone wrong with a purchase

Call the counter you bought it from, with the bill to hand. You will get a straight answer about whether it is a warranty matter, a fitting matter or our mistake.
