Weight per door is the number that decides everything
Sliding systems are rated per door, commonly 25kg, 40kg or 50kg. A tall shutter in mirror or lacquered glass gets heavy quickly. Work out the finished door weight before choosing the system, because a system running over its rating goes stiff, then noisy, then off its track.

Sliding buys you floor space and costs you access
A sliding wardrobe needs no clearance in front, which is why it suits a Kerala bedroom where the bed is close to the wall. The trade-off is that you can only ever see half the wardrobe at once. In a room with the space for them, hinged doors give you the whole opening.

The floor has to be level, and often is not
Sliding gear is unforgiving about a floor that falls away across the run. Check the level along the full track length before the system is ordered, not on the day it is fitted. Adjusters absorb a little; they do not absorb a genuinely sloping floor.

Ventilate it, or the monsoon will decide what you own
A sealed wardrobe against an external wall in Trivandrum grows mould on clothes every monsoon. Louvred panels, a gap at the back, or a small vent make more difference than any anti-damp product you can buy.

What is the maximum size for a sliding wardrobe door?
It depends on the system. Hettich TopLine handles doors up to 50kg each with heights to 2,500mm and widths to 3,000mm. Bring your opening dimensions and intended shutter finish and we will tell you which system suits.
Do you make wardrobes?
No. We supply the shutters, the sliding gear and the internal fittings. Your carpenter or interior designer builds and installs.

Everything we sell is a mechanism. A runner either glides at full extension under load or it does not, and no photograph will tell you which. Both counters have the range on working display boards.
