Full extension is not a luxury in a deep cabinet
A partial extension runner leaves the back fifth of the drawer permanently behind the frame. In a 600mm deep unit that is a lot of storage you paid for and cannot reach. Full extension costs more per runner and is the difference between a drawer and a hole you lose things in.

Check the load rating against what you will put in it
Runners are rated in kilograms, typically 25kg to 50kg. A cutlery drawer never troubles a 25kg runner. A pull-out holding a stack of steel vessels, a full set of pressure cookers or a stone grinder will, and an overloaded runner sags and eventually stops closing square.

Corners are where kitchens are won and lost
An L-shaped Kerala kitchen almost always has a blind corner, and left plain it becomes dead space you reach into on your knees. A magic corner or a carousel converts it into usable storage. It is not cheap and it is one of the few fittings people genuinely thank us for later.

Humidity is the enemy, and it attacks the metal
Coastal Trivandrum humidity finds any unprotected steel. Look at the coating on runners and hinges, keep the cabinet under the sink ventilated, and do not let a leaking trap sit for months. Most failed hardware we see failed because it was wet, not because it was worked hard.

Questions we get
Can I buy Hettich fittings without buying a full kitchen?
Yes. We sell over the counter by the piece, to homeowners and to carpenters. If you are replacing failed runners or upgrading a corner unit in an existing kitchen, bring the old part and the internal cabinet dimensions.
Do you make the cabinets?
No. We supply the fittings that go into them. Your carpenter, interior designer or modular kitchen fabricator builds the carcass and shutters, and we support them on which fitting suits which unit.
What is soft close and is it worth it?
A damper that catches the drawer or door in the last few centimetres so it closes quietly instead of slamming. On daily-use kitchen drawers it is worth it, both for noise and because slamming is what loosens carcass joints over years.

Everything we sell is a mechanism. A runner either glides at full extension under load or it does not, and no photograph will tell you which. Both counters have the range on working display boards.
